The description on the back of the card:
Congregational Church
On the village green in Tallmadge at the junction of routes 18 and 91 on the eastern outskirts of Akron. This beautiful white frame church is an excellent example of the late colonial churches of Western Reserve type. Erected in 1822 from wood donated by members of the congregation–its four classic frontal columns were each made from a single, solid walnut log, shaped and reeded by hand. all the chestnut shingles came from one tremendous tree!
