Olentangy Park operated as an amusement park in Columbus from 1893 to 1937 and was once the largest amusement park in the country. The theatre shown here was constructed around the turn of the century and was the largest theater in the U.S. at the time. The park rides were sold in 1937, the site became an apartment complex in 1938, and the theater was destroyed by fire in 1939.
